My name is Cathi Laferriere  amd I hope you have enjoyed the images that are presented to you here and come back often to see what is new. I find that my art is always evolving and never know where it will take me next.  I have been an artist for over 40 years and am always surprised when my mind takes a turn and starts me on a new road of discovery.   I have painted in oils, watercolor, some acrylic.   I have used pastels, and loved them, also colored pencils, which are fun to work with. I have always worked in color, adored color and couldn't think of doing anything else. I have also always done reality work, mostly landscapes. 

Most recently though I have gone through a very dark depression, one in which I could not create at all....There seemed to be no color, no art in my head, heart or emotions. About 11 months ago I picked up a pen and just drew a line on a piece of paper...that line became something more. And I find that the line is what has drawn (no pun intended) or is drawing me out of my inability to create. Working with a pen has been speaking so loudly to me. I hope, not only that you enjoy what you see, but also that you find something new, something that speaks to you by the works done from my Imaginations Eye.

I live on Whidbey Island in the northwest corner of Washington. I find it inspiring every day. We have something new around every corner. It is a great place to visit but a better place to  live.
